I find it hard to talk about myself.

My Blog is going to be my attempt at a daily weight loss journal, where I will share my honest opinion and views on the steps i am taking to better my life along with adding in exercises i have done and a daily food journal.
What am i doing to lose the weight?
- Calorie intake of 2000
- 5000-10000 steps a day
- high protein diet 146 grams a day
- Working with a weight loss clinic in Hamilton Ontario
- I will be receiving Gastric Bypass within the next 12-14 months
I have been struggling with my weight since the age of 6. The weight came on with the stress of my father developing tourette syndrome. Back then they were not educated on Tourette’s so many, many times my father was misdiagnosed with things like MS, Stroke and so on. All this gave me the impression i was going to lose my father so i began to stress eat and hide food.
As i grew older i developed low self-esteem that i still fight with because of the access pounds. basically in a Jenn head i tend to think people are constantly judge me and my actions. For example 2 years ago was the first time i ever stepped into a buffet due to fear of being laughed at or people questioning my food choices. This fear was developed at a young age when i was at a family event and i had a family member follow me around with a pen and paper, writing down everything i ate and after dinner confronted me with the “your fat because!”. I was about 7-8 when this happened and because of the trauma of that i have issues eating out and around people.
As of Dec 1st 2009 I started the process to receive Gastric Bypass surgery at Humber River in Toronto Ontario. I was advised it would be 12-14months to have my first appointment with the surgeon and approximately 3-4 months after i will of had my surgery. I am hoping they are giving worse case scenario's to filter out the less serious patients and i understand that due to the hospital specializing in extreme obesity that they will have a longer wait but I still hope it will come sooner then later.
